Logicim XLGL free form layout

Logicim XLGL's free form layout is a flexible reporting tool that enables you to import data from Sage 50 and organize its display in one step. Fields and records are no longer limited to a tabular format; the report can flow vertically or horizontally. Note that free form layouts are much slower than tables and should be reserved for small datasets.

To create a new Logicim XLGL Free Form layout:

1. Click the Logicim XLGL ribbon tab, then click "New free form". A panel opens on the left-hand side of the window.
2. Click the cell where you want your report to start.
3. Select the data type from the list or select Custom query to start from scratch.
4. Notice that there are additional options for the free form creation in the "XLGL Layout" ribbon shown at the top of the window
5. Click Apply
6. Depending on your selection, your free form layout will either be created or you will be presented with the Query designer.

Note that the result will look like a table without the headers. Utilize the first row as the template you can modify. Insert rows below it to make it bigger. Move fields around as needed, format, and utilize formulas anywhere within the template area.
