Using multiple Sage 50 companies on a report
When creating Logicim XLGL report, you are not limited to using a single connection. You can connect to any number of companies to feed your report.
Connecting to multiple Sage 50 companies
To get started with working on multiple Sage 50 company files, follow these steps:
- Click the Logicim XLGL ribbon tab in Excel.
- Then, click connect.
The connection panel will open on the left side of the window. From this panel, you can create and name multiple connections to different Sage 50 company files. For detailed instructions on how to create a connection to your company file, refer to setting up a connection to your Sage 50 company.
The checkbox in the connection panel indicates the default company. This default company will be used if no specific company is specified in an automatic layout or in a worksheet function. However, you have the flexibility to specify which companies to use in any part of your report.
Changing the default connection
With any Logicim XLGL report opened, you can switch the Default Connection and update the report for this new company.
- Click the Connection you wish to use in the connection panel.
- Click refresh on the Logicim XLGL ribbon.
By repeating these steps, you can switch back to the original company.
