Introduction
Logicim XLGL is a Microsoft Excel add-in that connects to your Sage 50 company data and lets you use your worksheet to create, edit, and view reports.
Connectivity
With Logicim XLGL, you can connect to any number of Sage 50 companies individually or at the same time. Switching from one company to another is quick and simple, as is keeping your report up to date, which can be done at the click of a button.
Formatting
It is also very easy to make cosmetic changes to the report, such as changing the size, font, and color of the text or making any other changes.
The reports included with Logicim XLGL are meant to be easy to customize. Once you are happy with your changes, simply save the file like any other Excel file. You can re-open this file later and still have it updated with your Sage 50 company data.
Custom reports
In addition to the included reports, Logicim XLGL provides several tools for creating new reports. Creating a table, for example, is only a few clicks away. Adding fields is as easy as dragging them to the worksheet. If needed, a powerful query editor can be used to finely customize your data request and include parameters that can be linked to the worksheet.
Logicim XLGL worksheet functions are another powerful tool that can be used to avoid complex queries. They can reference all sorts of arguments from the worksheet to provide just the result you need. They are very flexible and will merge well with your worksheet creation process. Functions can be used in Excel formulas to accomplish all sorts of results.
Other tools
The Logicim XLGL ribbon contains a number of other tools to help you work with your report, including drill down, hiding zeros, and laying out a report for print.
